As a reader, I’m sure you’re pretty accustomed to a car model winning an award, in fact there are so many awards these days that the word award has lost its impact. But not quite, not when the award is presented by Playboy Magazine – it has to mean something a whole lot more than just “Car of the Year”.
Playboy judges its entries based on a lot more than just horsepower, fuel consumption and price. It doesn’t matter how fast or green or how laden with technology the car is, for Playboy what matters is how cool the car is and whether or not you get all the envious stares when you arrive at a VIP event. And for 2010, the Playboy Car Of The Year is the Porsche Panamera.
It’s quite a logical choice actually, Porsche’s are fast, cool, expensive and chics – or “Bunnies” for the purpose of this award – love them. Now imagine a Porsche with all the usual characters plus four-doors and enough room to carry four “Bunnies” instead of just one. Now imagine that you were Hugh Heffner with all those bunnies constantly surrounding you, doesn’t the Panamera make more sense than a Carrera?
Playboy also gave out eight other awards that are listen below:

I’m not entirely sure if Porsche will be proud of such an award but it’s hard to ignore such an award.
