the most important thing is airflow and bla...bla....bla..... so to make it more simple just remove the bottleneck and pump as many air as possible for the engine to guzzle and play with the ignition & fuel to make power....but few other factor must be take into consideration... like air temp.. etc..
Guys,

How abt getting bigger throttle body and custom intake manifold + extra injector + Microtech or Haltech for extra injector controller. Will this do? I think the higher profile cam is a must too.

most probably "the bigger the better" but it will need a bigger budget and opportunity cost to make it better. As for fuel, it is adviseble to go with EMS rather than AIC.... the flexiblelity is more with EMS b'coz you can play with the ignition as well.... as for AIC you will need to do the mapping to the ECU ignition to support the "bigger" part you have install.... by the end the cost would be more than less the same...

Hehehe, jinkl u going for 2.4L. Tempting huh. 2.4L but pay 2000cc roadtax. Just for the record, how much power can we expect for the stroker kit?

drawback of the stroker : less RPMS due to increased stroke. i mati mati also dun dare to go more than 8500rpm if i am at your point.

HP increase? definately. how much? depends on your tuning and your boost.

solution? REVS. it's a direct replacement to displacement. i've seen 4G63 running on 9500 redline and it screams like a japanese bitch on heat in your AV DVDs... :D :D :D

510cc injector

I have been running the 510cc injectors on a T04B (T4 flange with a/r .48) with 54mm fin (done 1.4bar) and am currently running a HKS3037s turbine 56mm fin (done 1.4bar too) without problem.

I also know people that running garrett turbo, 272 cam, EMS with 450cc injector and boosting 2.0 bar.... running with 12.0 afr on boost...the engine never blown but the power is not what you expect with that kind of setup.... that because of the bottleneck in the fuel delivery....

How come the VR4 injector can support that kind of boost?..... the tunner just retard the ignition timing... even the std ECU will not running that kind of ignition.... this is because the owner does'nt see what is the component needed to make power... air, fuel and ignition.

what the owner believe is the more boost your'e running the more powerful your car.... and the "bigger is the better" concept here is not fully applied .......

Bigger turbo + bigger injector + bigger ignition advance + other supporting mod (Cam...etc) = Big power

replacement for displacement = upboost -> free horsepower :D

can i know you fuel regulator pressure? how big are your injectors?

arent all turbo engines running retarded ignition during boost?

Different turbo using different level of inginition when on boost, it depent on your set-up... what i'm trying to say is 'when u using a small injector for a big turbo u have to retard the ignition timing to low for that particular turbo'....

maybe for 16g turbo 660cc injector would be enough to support the highest possible ignition u have set during boost but for 20g you will need a bigger injector to support the level of ignition you'r running with the same boost level.... if you'r using the same injector as running 16g maybe u have to retard the igntiion timing lower than what u'r running with 16g....

Mine is standard 510cc injectors and the pressure is somewhere near std (I was told la. Not too sure. need to check with mech).

I have a fren who is running a 3s engine with a big ass turbo (bigger than T67 but smaller than T88). Something like a T78 turbine. Boost is set to 1.4bar. Also using Evo 510cc injectors. He said for short drags, they are enough. He doesnt drive his car tht often. Mayb press the car once in 2 weeks only.

Mayb jo1 is right. I was told to change my injectors if I wan to get more power out of the car. Of cos this will be done via tuning.

Miton, damn!!! U really went the 2.4l way? I was only joking about it in the other thread.

big turbo normally start with 61mm compressor wheel and will need very high ignition timing to spool it.... most of this turbo efficientcy range will start from boost of 1.5 bar and above...

bigger injector will be needed to make it perform as a big turbo for you to fully release the power they can produce.....

bigger turbo will provide more air with the same pressure as compare to small turbo but will need higher ignition to spool it.... which require bigger injector to supply the fuel to get a correct AFR...... directly mean bigger budget

miton, you must be talking about your 30+psi setup hehehe

my 14psi setup is running with a few degrees (can't remember how many) of ignition advance

there's something not right, i don't know, maybe i need to learn more. 4 x 510cc can support close to 400hp. those setup might need more.

Crazy meh 30+psi...you think what? tyre pressure ah?

Well, since we are learning new things everyday, it's okay if we listen to other comments as well. that's why i pose the question.

GroundZro,
want or not? nice for your Big Ass turbine! it's never installed in my engine anyway...just left to rust in the shed behind my house.

Yeap. He needs more. He has 2 extra injectors hooked up but seldom use them.

Miton,
Give free, i wan.

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Hi all,

Today I noticed my RH drive shaft and lower arm has marked like been touching and it quite clear. I wonder what could be cause this? Is there any issue if uses aftermarket abs (Im using aftermarket abs)? Or is there any other different car's drive shaft that been installed from previous owner?

Thanks for the advice in advance!
