better check ur car properly
bro;
just a little advice from my very own encounter.:X-:
my car was stolen before too and they manage to catch the thief. same procedure and the police had to retain the car at the police Hq for investigation. So i went to check on the car with another friend of mine to ensure that its in good condition. Apart from the cd player being swap, everthing was still in good condition.:_:
As the police officer inform me that the car had to be kept at the station for further investigation and promise me that upon completion, i'll be able to get the car back (investigation will take about a month) so my friend took some photograph of my car so as to claim the insurance for some dented area of the car before we leave the station.:sad_smile:
One mth later, upon going through all the procedure to claim back my car, i went to the station with my friend again ( same guy) to claim back the car and when we saw the car at the same spot , alas....apart from the body and tyres still remains, everything was gone...gear knob, battery, engine, wiper ... everything thats hidden is completely gone. :confused_smile:
My friend and i went to confront the officer in charge of this case and guess he told us....he knows nothing about this and claim that the car was already like that when they found it, luckily my friend had the picture of the car and we demand an explaination for this and he actually tells us that if we decide to pursue this matter, they will have to reatin the car again for investigation and maybe this the process will take 6 mths - a year. as i needed my car urgent, i had no choice but to forget the whole thing and called for my workshop friend to tow the car and claim for insurance.:baring_teeth:
The morale for the story....do not let your guard down until you have your car home..INTACT & don' forget to take picture of your car with witness, preferable someone with law knowledge and always check your car at the station on a regular basis..
regards:cry_smile:
