Rumours of the Ring Taxi’s death may have been stretched prematurely and all the confusion has now been cleared up with a new direction being taken for the Nurburgring’s roller coaster ride-along.

While there’s some truth to the demise of the Ring Taxi, that only serves true for the car in question and not the actual service or driver itself. The BMW E60 M5 that was previously piloted by Sabine Schmitz will now be retired and is set to be succeeded by one of Zuffenhausen’s finest, a Porsche 997 GT3 RS, that will make its way around the Green Hell with Schmitz behind the wheel and a passenger riding shotgun.

If one of use ever do make the pilgrimage to the Nurburgring in our lifetime and decide to praise the deities by circling the holy land, the price for a taxi ride in the GT3 RS piloted by the girl of every male petrol head’s dream, Schmitz, would be a pinch over RM2,200.
