Racing is inherent to Formula One, but this kind of race is something different altogether. While Ferrari prepares its theme park in Abu Dhabi, in neighboring emirate Dubai they're gearing up for the grand opening of the first F1-X theme park. As we previously reported, Dubai-based development company Union Properties secured the rights from Bernie Ecclestone to construct a series of F1 theme parks around the world, and the first, in its home base, is preparing to open its doors around the same time as Ferrari World.

Recently revealed to be called F1-X, the Dubai park will be one of five parts of the MotorCity development – which will also include the Dubai Autodrome, a business park and two luxury condo complexes – forming one pavilion of Dubailand, a sort of Disneyland for the Persian Gulf. While we wait with eager anticipation to see what attractions will be featured at F1-X Dubai, we've got a few renderings in the gallery below and a video from the launch event.

Sweet....=)

daymn .. we will neva have this in our country . .not in a million years . Well Malaysia is also an oil rich country .. RM60b from oil revenue ..where is it channeled too ? come on la . .Dubai have declared to the world that they will run out of oil in 2016 but the reason they develop the entertainment and holiday industry plus the new projects in the pipeline totaling more then $60b is because they want to secure the income for their country after 2016 with lotsa people flocking to dubai for a business hub and leisure purposes . ( Lets not forget , poverty is not a question in dubai ) .. we Malaysian have everything but still not enough to subsidize our food or fight poverty ...haih . time to take other countries as an example and stop the one track mind of "we are the best and we dont need anyone to teach us" attitude.
