err....
Many more...

Forget to post..
Im using Anoc engine oil 20w-50...
Quite ok la..
I change the oil every 5000km or 4 month...
Just Rm60 2 bottle...
Semi just Rm88 2 bottle...

me castrol gtx 20w50 rm32 + 1 bottle tufoil.. pretty happy with it. revving higher then ever.

but i notice something different than before after adding the tufoil, that is it idle damn slow, 700 rpm only when the engine is cold, and if you switch on the aircond it drop another 200rpm and the car shake like hell.. but the engine is still running at 500rpm  where before this it will die. when the engine is hot, it idles at 1200rpm

how good is tufoil ar? dunno about your opinion but mine is that it's worth every penny.

Franklin Reick's ( Tufoil Inventor ) idea of this highly acclaimed product is that you can have a leaner fuel-air mixture and a lower idle settting for the carburettor.

In cars where the idle speed is not electronically controlled, you may succeed in actually setting the idle speed at even 500 - 600 and the engine is still ticking. This saves you fuel in jams. When your engine is hot, all the bearings are easy with Tufoil and this accounts for the idle at 1200. The hot oil is also more fluid. Morning oil is cold and like tar !! Can you swim in the mud?

Your lower idle speed, Rollakid could be due to your more viscous and gummy oil that you are using now. You were probably using an oil that was less viscous before.

before this also using 20w50 engine oil, but different brand. that time use it with the NASA oil addictive. it smooths out the engine and reduce the sound and vibration, but very very hard to start in the cold morning.

now use tufoil, damn easy to start, but idle very low rpm, car vibrate... but it won't die lar.. so have to give it more gas when doing the first 500meter or 1km.. cuz change gear the rpm drop below 1k everytime >_<

after 15min of running... the engine damn nice.. even my dad say its smoother than 20 years ago when the car is still new (the car older than me  )

Rollakid,

Glad that you and your dad are both impressed by Tufoil in your trusty Toyota.

The lower idle speed could be due to vacuum leak, electrical, too lean a mixture etc. You can have these checked by the older mechanics.

nothing wrong with anything else.. just serviced by a veteran toyota mech. my guess would be what you said.. maybe the engine oil abit too gummy or something..

as long as its hot its fine :) compare to last time, only the rpm abit low when cold. i rather have an engine that rev abit low when cold but still can be driven than an engine that revs normally but will die anytime if i drive it cold

i'm not a mech so i dunno bout this stuff, but its a change for the better at least
