100w bulb damage reflector ??

Hey there. I am currently using osram's 100w bulbs in my headlamp. However, someone told me that not to use it as it will damage the plastic cover of the headlamp bcos of the high temp. Is it true ? The headlamp plastic cover will turn yellowish ah after sometime ? Pls advice.

but in my case wira ori lamp...my bulb socket melt b4 da reflector turn yellowish...tok abt da brightness oni abit brighter...y not save some cash n go for HID better wert

oh ya, HID hot or not ah ?? if compare to 100w bulb ? Will HID cause the reflector to be yellowish ??

if u add those upgraded headlight ralay kit, then the connector will not melt..it will melt only if u use ori connector with 100w bulb...y, because those ori connector copper plate cant let the current flow totally, thus, copper plate turn hot and connector melt, those are cheap connector..

as for the reflector thingy, diff reflector had diff result..i use aftermarket crystal headlight with 100w bulb for half year already..nth different beside brighter headlight...

hid and 100w bulb price are way too far....100w bulb only cost 30-40 for normal phillip but hid cost at least 400-500 for chapalang brand..which u prefer? if u are those ahbeng that change to cheapalang hid then i no comment..

and btw, HID are very hot as well....
it consume less power, but its hot.

YES, it will turn yr headlamp yellowish n blur.. it happened to me! i was using the raybrig bulb n it kaboom inside the headlamp.. headlamp turn blur n shatter pieces stuck in there
