bro....thanks for your feedback.

Really appreciate it but the thing is, i am planning to upgrade to a 1.8.

so if you could confine your feddback to the 4 cars mentioned above, it would be really helpful.

cars with variable valve timing would definitely have better fuel consumption than those without.

in this case, all but Proton comes with their own term of variable valve timing

Honda Civic in 1.8 and 2.0S spec. iVTEC, 16 valve DOHC
~ intelligent - Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Camshaft Lift

Toyota Corolla Altis in 1.6 and 1.8 spec, VVTi 16v DOHC
~ Variable Valve Timing - intelligent

Nissan Sentra in 1.6 and 1.8 spec, also available in Nismo bodykit. VTC 16V
~ Variable Valve Timing Camshaft

in ur case, Waja no more available as 1.8. the 1.6 is a must avoid unless ur budget is between 50-60K.

Altis and Sentra are old in this company. Civic emerge as the best and latest in town.

in terms of economy, either Sentra, Altis and Civic (all 1.8) have similar FC.

CLOSE your EYES..and go for the CIVIC...
Forget the WAJA..the Sentra..they dont even deserve to be on ur list...
You can consider the Altis...but its dated compared to the CIVIC..
Therefore according to ur list...its the CIVIC>A no brainer...

Civics have always been known to be fuel saver car. No doubt about it. My colleagues Wira 1.5A has the same FC as my Civic 1.6A SOHC. And can you even believe it that another colleague of mine driving a 5 year old Iswara also has about the same FC as my car.

i-Vtec provided both low rpm fuel economy and High rpm power output
VVT-i didnt provide Valve lifting...so if you got a heavy foot...goes for Altis for fuel economy...if you want fuel economy and power in same time..CIvic is the best

1.8 ler brudder....

am looking at budget see if can afford the 2.0 i-vtec...ceh....

Honda brochure says that the 1.8 i-vtec is very fuel efficient...apparently it is comparable to a 1.5 engine.

Dunno if anyone can verify or not.

dude...u driving the new accord?

Cools.

The new civic is available as 1.8 i-VTEC and 2.0 i-VTEC.

Honda brochures mention a research that says that the 1.8 i-VTEC fuel consumption is similar to a 1.5 engine.

What say you?

Yes it is...R18A is very low FC...
not only research..it proved to be true..HEHEHE
the 2.0 i-vtec on the civic is similiar to one we have on the integra..but setting has been change, so it is about 70hp different between integra typeR and CIvic,
2.0 run DOHC while 1.8 is SOHC

2006 civic is 1.8 i-vtec and 2.0 i-vtec...the 2.0 i-vtec is K20A engine same as integra DC5 but different setting cause one is type R n the other one is non-type R. this civic 2.0 i-vtec is the same engine singapore's integra Type-S which only generate 155hp.

civic n altis is very fuel saving compare to proton cars or korean cars. i drive a 2004 civic 1.7 myself n previous car is 1.3 wira.....my auto civic fc is slight better than my 1.3 manual wira!!! i also cannot believe it...if highway driving even better, can go bout 600km per full tank of 40litre(bout rm80). sorry la now change to 17' rim can only get bout 450km per full tank(city or highway driving also not much diff, i also dunno why)

waja cannot compare la....ppl say waja auto is petrol drinker....fuel tank also damn big...

Yah correct...very detail mod was done on the K20A type-R engine, especially the intake manifold, Type-R one is alluminium one...
BUt 450km is very much different from 600km lehh...you must have heavy foot man...:_:

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

I m using 4G91 (auto) in wira.. i m thinking of installing Evo dashboard (black color) into my car. However i have a concern which is the gear console. I m using auto while the console i get is manual.

Is the Evo manual gear console, can be used as auto gear console if i take out the leather cover?

The size and fitting is the same?
