According to the manual, to reset the average MPG display you should 1- have the display showing "AVG" and 2- hold reset button for 2 seconds until ---.- is displayed. You have to drive it after resetting to get a new avg, reset and turn off will revert to old figure.

It's been a few weeks now with my new tyres/rim setup, so far the car starts to pull to the left hand side (maybe alignment out, will chck later) however what worries me is there is some rubbing sound coming from the left wall but I can't find the culprit, I hv check if the tyres r rubbing against the fender but it's not...I wonder if some sifu here got any feedback for me or ppl who use bigger wheels like 17" rims have any probs?

another question, anyone try the new Swift Sport? I have seen many good feedback online about it.:adore:

Swift 1.5 BOT owner here
Anyone know what piston and conrod we can use for higher boost.
Now not dare yet to boost higher.
Last I check the conrod and piston spec for swift

Piston Bore = 78mm
Piston Pin = 20mm (press/semi floating???)

Conrod = CTC 138mm
Big End = 45mm
Small End = 20mm

Conrod same as M16A ?? except for M16A uses dif crankshaft = interchangeable with M15A too stroke higher???

Im looking at few honda mitsu or ca18 mazda piston and perhaps m16a forged or normal conrod too boost higher.if anyone can suggest piston and conrod from other car to keep the cost down would be good:adore:

Anyone has a good recommendation for exhaust full system from the header to the exhaust tip?

Im running on an entirely stock exhaust system. Im looking to improve my torque at low end range and go get a bass sound during idling and a slight sharp sound at high revs.

I was quoted from a shop in ss2 that includes (muffler and HKS exhaust tip 3 inch for 1.2K, downpipe standard)

Below is a link i found. Not sure whether SUPERCIRCUIT brand is good or not.

Done it at Naz Automotive somewhere in Skudai

Very neat workmanship.
Im using TD04L chra with smaller ar for turbin for better spool.
I also use back the water cool line for reliability.most other workshop cut short by not installing the water line

Now 0.6 only.plan to boost higher hence the enquiry on forged internal.
I check with redline gti forum.they reccomend get the sss halfcut and get forged internal.

Still thinking though.

You are on manual or auto gb? Pardon me for asking so many questions.. hard to see a swift mod in jb so far.. last time saw one was the petronas sticker swift.. mind pm me your contact? We can meet up :listen: and discuss more on our swift if you dun mind :driver:

Hi sidi.. I hv account here too hehe..
Good thing u use the water line!

I've posted a link at your thread.. It's an old thread i made, there's comparison between zc21s and zc31s piston..i'll post it here..

http://redlinegti.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=47695

I think the forged bw conrod is a good deal, mated with zc31 piston..
What u got to worry is the plastic intake manifold..

U must use water temp to monitor the engine temprature.. I did many things to achieve what i think is the ideal temp for my zc21s..

Here's my build thread

Here are some videos
Dyno and race..

You can whatsapps me at 0197762985.
So far havent really boosted kaw2 yet.No problem yet on overheat, idling or aircon. Im using auto gb btw.
Im going to fine tuning the fuel soon.maybe I can share more detail on whatsapps.
Im using atf cooler but havent get oil cooler yet.

Anyway Naz Automotive is located at Pulai Perdana besides sticker shop.I have been with this mechanic for past 5 years and satisfied with all the detail and neat work.Price wise much better than other cutthroat shop in JB.The petronas swift very popular in JB.last I heard it pack 160whp under the hood with na power.:driver:

Guys,

SSS owners need your favour from you guys to check your front windshield markings as i would like to make a comparison of different markings for our swifters.(attachment below)

Any comparison for LAMISAFE & LAMILEX? Any difference of the CKD/CBU models for SS only? Need to check for SSS as well.

I'm using atf cooler too, how much boost are you running currently? Did you experience any slippage on your auto gear? Did you install fuel regulator which requires to make a fuel return line?

Now running 0.6 bar, quite high due to still on stock compression and piston. Plan to lower a bit the boost while waiting for forged internal.
I'm using td04l with smaller exhaust ar so boost start spooling at 2k and full boost by 3k.
Regarding the auto gearbox slippage I try to feel the initial bite by half throttle , once fully bite than only full throttle. I once try full throttle from standstill and low rpm, the gearbox grip and slip are noticeable. The torque delivery were high and sudden not like when NA.

Not using fuel regulator cause using Toyota 330cc injectors, if use fuel regulator should be better cause have fuel return line and pressure are more stable.

Now running around 175hp and 197Nm torque on dastek dyno with stock exhaust box and piping. That should translate to 145whp dynojet, nothing to roar about but cruising at highway are fun now and easily outmeter
Looking into 2" muffler and perhaps manual gearbox = :driver:

Guys, is it advisable to either use engine oil grade 0w-20/ 0w-30 for our swift 1.5 auto or to stick with 5W-30 grade? I was told that upon cold start, using 0W-30 is good as engine oil will be hot and does not consume that much fuel.

is this true?

NVH, or Noise, Vibration and Harshness, is the study and modification of the noise and vibration characteristics of vehicles, particularly cars and trucks. - Wikipedia, Feb 2013.

So what exactly is it? In other words: You sit in the car. The car runs, you feel annoyed by the noise e.g. tyre or road noise, rattling noise, tweaking noise, or even ur mother in law keep on nagging. Sorry I cant solve the last problem for you. You're on your own
