I always thought is it either glass or ceramic coating but not both at the same time. Does it make sense to have glass coating on top of ceramic coating?

Thanks.

the hyperbolic effect on windscreen is obvious. The water drop will roll it ways out at the speed of 60 kmh and above. You don't have to switch on wiper. On highway it is a good thing.

no matter what you coat, you still need to take care... in fact, after coating the requirement to wash the once or twice a week. In fact, more work... If don't take take, the coat will crack and worst when it peel like your skin peeling off. hahaha...

Actually I asked this question because I saw this sales poster by Alva Coating at Jln 222, PJ. Note the Platinum and Titanium package. They have both ceramic and glass coatings.

These coats fade very quickly cuz our asses rub if off eventually. But it makes the fabric a little water resistant. Can see beads of water on the fabric.
Remember seeing a product in spray can that does this. Spray on let dry, then become water resistant.....lol

I went to f1 Autospa in klang recently for CNY to do mine the 680 package but given price of 612 with 10 percent discount.

This package includes 2x more polish in the next 8 months for free. And subsequent of the same package costs rm81. They also have coating package for new car.

It's about rm1 daily to maintain the car for the 2 year warranty period.

I am very satisfied. My car is entering 5th year with no prior polishing or waxing done before. Still left a few stone chips here and there since I travel penang KL about 1x quarterly.

Until now I couldn't find a satisfactory car wash in Penang. The one tg tokong besides Starbucks is just too expensive and unclean and suck blood. Haven't even go into their waxing polish package.

It is possible to have a glass coating on top of ceramic coating, but it is not a common practice. The purpose of having a ceramic coating is to provide protection to the paint on your car, while a glass coating provides a glossy, hydrophobic finish. It is possible to have both, but it is not necessary as ceramic coating already provides a durable layer of protection. Additionally, having both coatings may result in added maintenance costs and potential compatibility issues. Ultimately, the choice to have both coatings will depend on personal preference and the level of protection desired.

too thick coating has a risk that i will crack and peel... especially vehicles that always under the hot sun in Malaysia. I've seen that happened on some car... it was a hell lot of work to fix it.

Hi, i have a problem with my kenari zmax lowered performance coil spring, it is too lowered (in front, rear is okay around 3 fingers) until my few days old front rubber bumpstop(the one that is placed at the front absorber shaft) squashed to bits, forced me to temporary cut of the squashed bumpstop and leave the boot intact. previously i have tried apm performax sport spring for around 1 year, also with the same outcome, squashed rubber bump stops. cost me a race as the front would sink...
