1JZ/2JZ Engine swap to Hilux

Hey !!!!

Has anyone done a 1JZ/2Jz swap to a Toyota Hilux or other pickups in this forum ???

If so how is it done ? What are things needed to fit this engine in the engine bay? As far as I know the JZ series engine are very long.

your aircond heat exchanger need to put down. like hilux surf. u need to use the bellhousing to mod into your existing gearbox so that u can maintain your 4wd...if u are using ln106/ln166, change to SR face lift or surf face lift so that u have more rooms behind your gril to route your intercooler piping or re locate your radiator more to the front.

buy a 1jz flywheel

What if I would just use the gearbox that came with the engine, will it be strong enough to support the weight? I have seen a few of these mods on youtube and some other forums but am not clear if they would mod the firewall so that the engine will have more space.

u can use the gearbox that came wid the engine but it will defeat your purpose of having a 4x4 truck... but again its your choice my friend. both ways are ok.

posible ... subang industrial park there is 1 shop they mod few 4x4 using more 1jz engine for the power ... or even nissan engine...

What about JPJ and puspakom, will these kind of mod be endorsed by them? Since the ori engine is also 2.5l diesel ?

if not mistaken dint endorsed, that uncle say most of the time they use to run around the juncle..
