According to The Independent, the suspension of the 54-year-old presenter was due to an argument that took place between him with a producer of the show. BBC then issued a short statement that did not really shed much light on what is happening and will happen to the presenter or the show in the near future.

“Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation. No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

Known for his outspokenness, Clarkson is apparently on a “final warning” from BBC where he has been linked to several controversies which includes the racist remark made during the filming of the Burma special and another made during a Top Gear rehearsal.

With Top Gear already in the radar especially after the incident in Argentina while filming their Christmas special, the fate of Top Gear at this moment is very uncertain. Will we be able to catch the three remaining episodes of Season 22? Only time will tell…
