When the Nissan R35 GT-R first debuted back in 2008, it was immediately hailed as a budget supercar killer. Priced just under USD 70,000 (RM 232,505), the twin-turbo V6 monster just puts other supercars to shame with its rocket acceleration and being fast at the bends as well. But it seems that if you have your eyes set on the new 2014 GT-R, then you should be ready to fork out some extra bucks as Nissan has raised the price on the car yet again.
The new 2014 GT-R now comes with a USD 103,365 (RM 343,326) price tag, and that is just for the Premium model. The Black Edition will cost an extra USD 10,000 (RM 33,215), while the Track Edition carries a USD 117,305 (RM 389,628). Although we would like to know how much the GT-R Nismo will cost, they have yet to reveal this speed machine price tag just yet.
But Nissan had actually done some improvement to the GT-R to justify part of the increase. With a recalibrated suspension that provides better stability and more consistent grip, the car also gets Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires as standard. These tires have stiffer sidewalls than before to reduce deformation, improving steering response under hard cornering.
