If you consider a C63 Black Series with 517bhp on taps underpowered – then you might actually need a doctor. Or.. a German tuning company called GAD-Motors who thinks the same as you do. Some tuning companies can find 50-100bhp to improvise the performance of a car. But GAD-Motors has taken a massive leap with the C63 Black Series tuning and redefining the whole ideology of overwhelming performance.
The naturally aspirated M156 6.2-litre V8 block has been replaced in favour of AMG’s new M157 5.5-litre Bi-Turbo V8 to achieve this ultimate level of performance. There is more to the transplant because 850bhp is a handful to handle with just the rear wheels. This problem is cured by transplanting the 4-MATIC all-wheel drive system from the AMG-S series to the W204 C63 Black Series to secure the monster with grip on the road.
Power can be deceiving because although you can generate the high levels of performance into a car, there are parts that may not be able to cope with the power and torque, mainly the gearbox. Case in point with the transplanted Black by GAD-Motors. To wrestle the 850bhp and 1350nm of torque, the MCT gearbox transplanted with the M157 engine has been uprated to handle the bonkers performance, and carbon ceramic brakes were fitted to match the braking performance with the power. At the same time, KW adjustable coilovers are installed to keep the chassis in check.
Zerotohundred is dealt with in 3.1 seconds, a whole second quicker than the original M156 rear-wheel driven car and this colossal power will tremble the autobahn all the way to an electronically limited top speed of 186mph. We reckon with it removed, this modded Black will speed all the way to figures above 210mph.
Cost of this upgrade is as bonkers as the transplant at 180,250 euros (RM778k) without the cost of the car. In Europe, the C63 Black Series is sold at a base price of 118,000 euros and added with the cost of the upgrade, the grand total of almost 300,000 euros can buy you a Lamborghini Aventador supercar. But then at 700bhp, its shy of the GAD-Motors Black Series power by 150bhp. Is all the cost involved worth the upgrade? You can be the judge but this we reckon is the ultimate transplant to the C63 Black Series.
