Renault’s Alpine Racer Snatches the European Le Mans Series Title on their First Outing!

Since Renault is trying to revive the Alpine sports car somewhere in 2016, all eyes are set to their A450 European Le Mans racer. The endurance racer will be the starting point of this future sports car, and all is looking fine so far as they achieved an impressive feat for a team that had just debuted in the scene.

Securing three podium finishes out of five races is not an easy feat, but they managed to pull it off anyways. Their most notable win will be the one at Hungary when they crossed the finish line in first position. Although the track was heavily soaked, the Signatech Alpine team surged forward and made the best out of the 82 laps.

The last race they entered was the Three Hours of Paul Ricard in France, where they managed to finish the race in fourth. Looks like Renault is in the right track in reviving the Alpine brand, with their A450 performing beyond expectations. This is just the right time to bring back the Alpine into the racing world by making it familiar again, especially after a 35-year long absence.
