Audi RS cars are now just about the best vehicles on the road because they are madly fast, looks absolutely menacing and at the same time, practical for your everyday usability. Ingolstadt has been very successful with these machines and from generations after generations – these super fast machines are becoming the engrossment of tuning companies to make it faster. The new Audi RS6 C7 is one of the newest in the line-up and ABT Sportsline has came up with a monster to scorch the roads!
On its own – the new RS6 is not a mundane car to start with because it comes packed with a 4.0-litre V8 engine that churns out a whopping 560bhp and 700nm of torque. It is a tower of power but ABT has tinkered around with the management system and found a whopping 140bhp and 172nm of torques from the little 4.0-litre engine. With this tuning programme – ABT offers the RS6 C7 a behemoth total output of 700bhp and 872nm to slay on its prey on the German Autobahn and worry the likes of Aventadors and F12 Berlinettas on the road.
The power is achieved by replacing the ECU with ABT’s tuned control unit and a sports exhausts system which enables a higher-flow of gas to improve efficiency; thus generating a higher output. ABT claims that the sleeper wagon will accelerate from Zerotohundred in 3.4 seconds and rocket all the way to 199mph rated top speed. But of course – we believe that the car can actually go more considering the standard car has seen 200mph on the Autobahn by daredevils.
Worried that it would look the same as the standard car? Well ABT offers a few subtle styling mods to ensure that their juiced-up RS6 will be bespoke – the matte aluminium side-mirror covers are replaced in favour of carbon fibre ones for a more stylish look and ABT sports springs were given to give the Avant not only a stiffer handling, but also a better stance on the road. At the same time – ABT offers their customers a choice between 20″-22″ ER-C alloys which can be fitted with the RS6 C7.
