Malaysian National Dive Team Get Chevrolet Captiva!

The National Sports Council and National Dive Team were presented with two units of the Chevrolet Captiva, courtesy of NAZA Quest Sdn Bhd, which were presented to Dato’ Hj Ab Jalil Bin Hj Abdullah, Director of Sport Management Department, National Sports Council by Datuk Maruan Mohd Said, Senior Vice President, 4 Wheels Motor Group and Chief Operating Officer of NAZA Quest Sdn Bhd.

The two Captivas were presented as part of an endorsement deal with the National Sports Council & the National Dive team in order to assist with the logistics arrangement in preparation for the 2016 RIO Olympics.

The Chevrolet Captiva is equipped with 2.0L turbocharged Diesel VCDI engine that provides 360Nm from as low as 2,750rpm and 161bhp at 3,800rpm. The Captiva has a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring Driver Shift Control (DSC) and ECO mode. Both Captivas will be utilized to ferry athletes and officials to and from diving events around the country and can also be used by the team to travel daily for their training sessions.

The decision by Chevrolet Malaysia (NAZA Quest) to endorse the national dive team, including the likes of Pandelela Rinong (first Malaysian female Olympic medalist), came with the belief that the dive team’s recent performance in the world stage warranted more support, especially from the corporate sector.
