The Tiguan has always been a versatile small SUV that provides an all-round excellent capabilities, practicality and good cargo space made better with its 4Motion 4WD system for that occasional less-than-ideal road adventure. In a petite size slightly larger than a raised Golf. Priced at RM236,888 you can now buy a Tiguan at any Volkswagen dealerships throughout Malaysia.
Equipped with the current generation of their 210bhp TSI engine it is the same 2.0 turbo engine that powers the Golf GTI and is mated to a 7-speed DSG that powers the 4 wheels through VW’s ever popular 4Motion system. The Tiguan is no softie. It does zerotohundred in 7.3 seconds putting it nearly side by side with the perky Golf GTI right up to 213km/h max. No more bullying mums on the school run.
Outside, the Tiguan has bi-xenons and fashionable daytime running lights, foldable side mirrors and 17″ New Orleans wheels. Not much of a change but sure does look better with the new visual cues. As for the inside, there’s the “Vienna” upholstery and a leather trimmed 3-spoke multi-function steering and gearknob for a touch of lux. There’s also an ambience illumination and indirect dashboard lighting system to provide a soft and warm ambiance at night, further improved with the climatic aircon to keep the cool in check.
