Spied: Porsche 998 911 Test Mule

Spy photographers from KGP Photography posted strategically around the Nurburgring have photographed what looks to be the next generation Porsche 911 undergoing development testing. It appears that the 998 mule uses 997 body work coupled with pumped wheel arches that hint at a widened track and what could be a makeshift wing that provide additional downforce during testing. According to the guys at KGP, the quad exhaust tips that derive from the Carrera S aren’t fitted as standard as they were on the 997 model which could likely mean that space in the rear is tight, and that the presence of a roll cage suggests that the new 998 platform is still in its infancy. Expect the 998 model to debut late 2010.
