S16 Nissan Silvia in 2010

2010_nissan_fr_sports_coupe5There have long been rumors of a successor to the S15 throne, and Nissan did release this teaser image from Nissan’s GT 2012 meeting held recently. They hinted towards a cheap, ‘drift-able’ rear wheel drive sports platform, the Silvia. The leaked images show the side view of the upcoming FR sports coupe due to go on sale in 2010.

The image reveals just enough to give a good idea of what the final shape will be. An interesting feature is the small third “quarter window” and the pronounced rear blister fender.

Although frustratingly obscured, the image would appear to show the classic Silvia shape, and is a real indication that the manufacturer is finally moving towards the return of one of Japan’s greatest sports cars.

The silver color one is more accurate in reproducing the lines of the current S15. But the last 2 images is "god damn i'll be repeating myself" A Hyundai Coupe!! Look at the rear shoulder! Look at the windows and the body crease! Its a Hyundai!!!!
Z
Hope the car will look as the 2nd picture itself, the 3rd one looks radical-ish IMO for a car named Silvia.

If the Silvia doesn't look like the 1st picture or the two jpegs Dean posted , it isn't worth buying.

Nissan should put a revamped SR20 engine and nothing else, its what makes the Silvia the Silvia

The Silvia is a hard car to bring back, regardless of people wanting it. The fact is, they have the Sentra for the people who want a 4 banger (which is what the 240 was intended as, just using rwd instead of fwd, they had the Z line for performance) and they have the altima coupe, and the 370z. Something would have to get axed to make it possible. As for the comments about Korea, the Genesis is going to be a juggernaut of a car. RWD, with lots of options, and the car was designed with the intent for modification... something noone else is doing. Once it gets rolling, this may quickly be the car of choice for alot of racers looking for a cheap option. Nissan would be wise to learn from them. Get rid of the 370Z, and replace it with a very lightweight car, and slap it with a Turbo 4, with about 290-300bhp (very possible given the STi and Evo).

The new car are not the old school and it is ran by a computer chip not by horsepower and anyone that is a gear head will know that takes away the true sport.

But the silver one is ok to me but the 2 pictures that has the red one they need to be burnt because they dont look like the silva s15 but a Hyundai and i am not a big fan of that car. It does need more of a edge and a real good mean style so it can keep up with the old style that everyone liked. I hope It comes out with dual Exhaust.

The silver car is the bastard child of a G37S. They're all ugly and unacceptable. Whoever has been designing Nissan's since the early 2000's needs to be shot. The Z and GT-R are the only vehicles that are appealing, and that's only because they're mid-high end sports cars. What happened to the maximas, altimas, 240s? I'm totally for a Silvia remake, and the GTR is acceptable (Im just happy its in the US now), as well as a throwback concept to a 240Z or 300Z throwback, but they can't make it appealing using the same crap front and rear designs that you find on the Rogue, the Leaf or the Juke. What happened to vehicle makers making distinctions between each model they make rather than copying and pasting half the features onto all of the models? I have a 83 Datsun 280ZX, and I love it. The closest thing it looks like is a Porsche and they are worlds apart.
