S16 Nissan Silvia in 2010
July 30, 2008
There have long been rumors of a successor to the S15 throne, and Nissan did release this teaser image from Nissan’s GT 2012 meeting held recently. They hinted towards a cheap, ‘drift-able’ rear wheel drive sports platform, the Silvia. The leaked images show the side view of the upcoming FR sports coupe due to go on sale in 2010.

The image reveals just enough to give a good idea of what the final shape will be. An interesting feature is the small third “quarter window” and the pronounced rear blister fender.

Although frustratingly obscured, the image would appear to show the classic Silvia shape, and is a real indication that the manufacturer is finally moving towards the return of one of Japan’s greatest sports cars.

Can’t wait!
The silver color one is more accurate in reproducing the lines of the current S15. But the last 2 images is “god damn i’ll be repeating myself” A Hyundai Coupe!! Look at the rear shoulder! Look at the windows and the body crease! Its a Hyundai!!!!
Hope the car will look as the 2nd picture itself, the 3rd one looks radical-ish IMO for a car named Silvia.
the 7tune pics looks like photochopped Hyundai Coupe 3rd gen.
IMO, the 1st pic looks alot better ..but i gotta agree with netmatrix!!
THOSE JAPS ARE GOING TO KOREA!!!!!
woo..the silver 1 really looks awesome…but it will be ‘cheap’ ????????..haha..wat a joke
Serious cant wait for this one, just wanna see new cars in the drift scene.
i would wan the 1st pic but 2nd & 3rd i would definately agree … its soooooOOOOo Hyundai Coupeishhhh
silver front looks like abit of gene mutated frm skyline v35 model but im hatin the curve above roof line looked akward when it reaches the rear part.
while the red front looked a lil like impreza v.10 ..
as long as its driftable…
hahahaha… Japanese copy Korean… hahahaha….
Definitely looks crap in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. 1st one would be awesome.
i have found a picture that i thought it would be like in the link below

I will pray for this to come tru…..
to be honest i would rather buy the new hyundai tiburon because it looks better and they come in either a four banger turbo or v6 300hp. i own an s13 but wtf is nissan thinking?????????????????????
oh an the new tiburon is REAR WHEEL DRIVE NOW!!!!
the tiburon is still FWD dude, you must be thinking about the new genesis
If the Silvia doesn’t look like the 1st picture or the two jpegs Dean posted , it isn’t worth buying.
Nissan should put a revamped SR20 engine and nothing else, its what makes the Silvia the Silvia

Silver car by far looks the best hell Id get 2.
wondering will it really come out in my country…. it took my breath away although it looks like hyundai…. but the front its nicer then everything … wondering what if its rear was a r34 :X
The Silvia is a hard car to bring back, regardless of people wanting it. The fact is, they have the Sentra for the people who want a 4 banger (which is what the 240 was intended as, just using rwd instead of fwd, they had the Z line for performance) and they have the altima coupe, and the 370z. Something would have to get axed to make it possible. As for the comments about Korea, the Genesis is going to be a juggernaut of a car. RWD, with lots of options, and the car was designed with the intent for modification… something noone else is doing. Once it gets rolling, this may quickly be the car of choice for alot of racers looking for a cheap option. Nissan would be wise to learn from them. Get rid of the 370Z, and replace it with a very lightweight car, and slap it with a Turbo 4, with about 290-300bhp (very possible given the STi and Evo).
2nd picture is a chopped G37 coupe concept from 07 or so with 350Z wheels.
Rear looks like Hyunday Coupe, please don’t let it go out
