Exedy Stage 1 Single Sport Series
Exedy Stage 1 in the Single Sports Series comprises an EXEDY sports cover assembly, Sports Organic (SO) clutch disc and release bearing.
The sports cover assembly boasts higher clamp loads, spheroidal graphite pressure plate castings and additional drive straps are utilized to prevent pressure plate casting failure at high RPM.
The Sports Organic disc features a premium friction material for superior durability and engagement characteristics as well as high rate damper springs to handle increased torque.
The Exedy Organic Clutch Kit is Exedy's Stage 1 Clutch Kit and offers extra holding power for cars that produce higher torque than from the factory. The Exedy Organic Clutch Kit is highly recommended for cars that are daily driven and where comfort is an issue. The pedal will feel slightly stiffer than stock, but comfort and feel are key.
Additional Information
EXEDY racing clutches are fitted with premium organic friction materials and are resistant to slippage and burst. Increased clamp loads give the necessary capacity to handle modified engines. This is the preferred clutch for street and light horsepower track use.
The drivability will be similar to a regular clutch, however drivers may experience increased pedal effort, slight shudder and increased cabin noise due to the performance characteristics of the clutch. All of our clutch discs have high capacity sprung centre dampers to reduce the drivetrain shock and impact.

Exedy Stage 2 Single Sport Series
Stage 2 in the Single Sports Series comprises an EXEDY sports cover assembly and either a Race Ceramic (RC) or a Sports Ceramic (SC) Disc.
The sports cover assembly boasts higher clamp loads, spheroidal graphite pressure plate castings and additional drive straps are utilized to prevent pressure plate casting failure at high RPM.
The Race Ceramic disc features a unique metal button configuration designed specifically for circuit racing applications. The disc also features a thinner design profile resulting in lower inertia and therefore reduced shift effort. The Race Cerermic disc is made from lightweight components helping to reduce wear and tear on the transmission synchromesh.
The Sports Ceramic disc possesses many of the Race Ceramic disc features and has been specifically developed for use by professional drift, circuit, rally and drag racers.
IMPORTANT: With any ceramic button clutch system, there will be some compromise of start-up driveability when compared to a standard clutch (chatter on light throttle, low RPM start-up) in addition to an increase in cabin/transmission noise. This characteristic is generally deemed acceptable in modified performance cars. Drivers of vehicles fitted with cerametallic clutches on the street should be warned not to ride the clutch or try to reduce the chatter as this will greatly increase the wear rate. The above information should be used as a guide only, please consult your Exedy distributor if further advice is required.

The EXEDY HYPER SINGLE CLUTCH is a new generation clutch set for light to moderately tuned vehicles up to 400 HP. The EXEDY Hyper Single Clutch is ideal for limited street driving and road circuit cars. The EXEDY Hyper Single Clutch has high torque capacity and a special lightweight design to reduce the clutch disc inertia.
LIGHT WEIGHT & LOW INERTIA DESIGN
- High friction coefficient, low wear, and a special heat resistant material (T5001) has been developed enabling clutch size to be reduced and have increased durability.
- Improved durability by strong small damper disc, especially re-designed for hyper single clutch.
-Disc inertia level is less than OEM clutch for improved shift response for fast gear changes, especially in racing applications.

STRAP DRIVE TYPE PRESSURE PLATE FUNCTION
- Improved clutch disengagement. (Pressure plate is forcibly separated from facing surface by strap plate)

Exedy Street/Race Multi Twin Plate clutch designed for high torque and high performance engines
- The EXEDY Street / Race Twin Plate Clutch is designed for high torque capacity with "reasonable" streetability.
- The friction facing material is cerametallic to bundle the abuse of highly modified engines.
- Featuring a single spring damper for both discs, this clutch design has strap lift and drive for both the pressure plate and the intermediate plate.
- A patented system evenly lifts both the main pressure plate and the intermediate plate providing a "clean" release for steetability.
- The EXEDY Street / Race Twin Plate Clutch also includes a lightweight billet chrome moly steel flywheel for maximum performance.
- Again, with all cerametallic clutch systems, some chatter should be expected on low rpm start ups.
