Scirocco Cup China 2010 stepped out of the border for the first time to stage a Scirocco war at the Sepang International Circuit. Drivers from China Mainland and Hong Kong took the podium steps, marking the first time that a Chinese driver has been crowned champion in an international racing event since the founding of the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

Driver of car #5 Wang Jianwei from China Mainland stood out from all drivers to take the lead to the chequered flag and won the champion of the competition by 20 minutes 54.233 seconds, followed by Kevin Tse of car #8 from Hong Kong and Zhang Dasheng of car #22 from Mainland China as the second and third respectively. The debut of Volkswagen Scirocco Cup in Malaysia enables car enthusiasts and consumers in Southeast Asia to truly feel the infinite charm of this racing event, understand the dynamism and vigor of the Volkswagen brand and witness the excellent racing skills of young Chinese drivers.

Scirocco Cup China is a car racing sport competition sponsored by Volkswagen, and participated by one single model, the VW Scirocco. Professional modification has only been conducted to the 20 Scirocco racing cars for safety reinforcement, with no difference with the mass-produced Scirocco cars in the powertrain department. Its 2.0 TSI engine delivers a maximum power of 200hp and 280Nm of torque, while the six-speed DSG gearbox provides the quick and smooth gear shift, and transmits the strong power of the engine without interruption.
