We’ve all seen videos or pictures of the steering wheels stuck onto Formula One cars that seem to have more buttons than a tailor’s shop that serve more functions that the world’s most advanced remote controls.

Well apparently they have met their match from somebody not involved with Formula One, Porsche. The sportscar maker, in true German fashion, hit overdrive on the over-engineering toggle and has produced what must be the world’s most complicated steering wheel for their 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car.

Granted, the 911 GT3 R Hybrid does feature a complex flywheel system to regenerate power that is definitely ahead of its time but bear in mind too that the KERS system used in Formula One isn’t that lacking in the technological department.

We wonder if that German efficiency also designs extra thumbs for the driver of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid. Furthermore, we can only imagine how the manual for the car would dwarf complete sets of encyclopedias.

The McLaren P1 LM is one of the few ultra exclusive examples that made first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last week and left something special to remember.

It completes the hillclimb in a blistering 47.07 seconds,
making it the fastest road-legal car to ever run the iconic course. The P1 LM beats the previous record set by Nissan's GT-R Nismo back in 2014, with a laptime of 49.27 seconds.
