Recently we covered the Porsche Cup S and now Porsche unveiled a revised version of its most powerful 911-based racecar. Called the GT3 RSR, its predecessor is renowned for winning several races, among them being the legendary Le Mans 24 hour races at both France and Spa in Belgium as well as overall victory in the grueling Nurburgring 24 hours in Germany.

The current 911 GT3 RSR has gained many modifications but is essentially designed for competition in the GT2 class of international long-distance racing. The front end of the GT3 RSR is among the most distinguishing feature of the new GT3 RSR and has received major improvements to the aerodynamics. Modifications to the slippery parts include a new range of suspension set-up options and a new sequential six-speed gearbox which by the way, is much lighter than its very capable predecessor.

The GT3 RSR retains its predecessors 3.8 liter flat-six cylinder boxer engine and remains unchanged apart from slight improvements. Here’s the best part; 465bhp at 8,000rpm, maximum torque of 430Nm at 7,250rpm while the REV LIMITER (!!) kicks in at 9,4000rpm (!!) and there's no sound insulation.
