I think depends on preferences la... Basically, I think the taillights itself has little difference than the JDM ones. Just the middle piece... The reverse lamp is more extended and sloping... I like the JDM's more squarish type...

Having said that, I haven't come across a rotten AE. All are amazing

Yep, the red plastic of the USDM version is brighter than the red plastic of the JDM version. JDM is more ruby red whereas USDM is more cherry red.

In other news, my spare roof-mounted Air Purifier arrived from the Philippines today. I bought it just for the plastic filter cover because the one I have currently installed was missing that piece. Planning on keeping the rest of the unit for spare parts in case I ever need it. Here's some pics of my air purifier now 100% complete:
