Shouldnt the moderators of this site ban threads on ppl who post other ppl's cars with number plates ? things like WL*8888 that is just an alphabet missing man .... the amount of information we give to thieves is huge from number plates.... especially on such unique and less common cars, so easy to identify them out, with the help of no plates....

As you can see my post count, i seldom post here, however i do feel the need to have a voice for this topic.

I, for one COMPLETELY AGREES with what LINER has mentioned. TOM, if you're reading this, i suggest implementing a new forum rule whereby it is forbidden to post number plates (Or Fragments Of It) of any cars, not just the rare ones. For obvious reasons, that information is available to the public and ANYONE who browse this forums. Not to sound like im generalizing, but crooks these days are very well informed. Usually posting plates of "XXX" car will only make it easier for them to hunt down the owners address, whereabouts and what not. Cuts the crook's job in half.

Especially when the cars mentioned are (more often than not) Modified sports cars with expensive gadgets and electronics in them. Crooks can go " OH HEY, THERE'S A SKYLINE BY THE PLATE OF WXX ### THAT I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE,THERE'S GOTTA BEE SOME GOOD STUFF IN THERE. NOW THAT I KNOW THE PLATE, I'LL JUST LOOK FOR HIM... THANKS ZTH "

Feel offended ? What if it was your car ? With your plates ? Being posted publically ? I hope this matter will be looked into (If not at least) seriously.

Cheers.

mazz: finally u got yer hands out of yer ass to post....

mauhahahhahaha

This forums do not have enough moderators, enough said. Tom can implement 1000 rules, but thats nothing much you can do about it.

can do things like locking the thread? warning users? on a 3rd warning, ban the user?

Well come to think of it , since the Skyline is pretty rare even if someone were to only post the last two digit of car. ie XXX XX95 and state its a midnight purple GTR33, the car would still be easily spotted ( marked) :(

Anyway , lets not get into a heated argument about this and try a better way of doing this . Anymore suggestion.

why?

why would u bother to put pples number plate up?

skylines are rare as it is...u just say r32 or r33 or r34 then the colour and spec...there u have it....why need for number plate?

i agree...ban the number plate posting...not becos of thieves, but for privacy interests aswell...

location? all the thieves know where da skylines at...rich towns and somemore u just goto clubs at the weekends etc...there u will find many cars and ICE goodies to take...skyline or not....all modified cars would be targets...

hmmmm, i dont see y we should not implement the warning system, on a 2nd warning , if the user still posts up no plates, ban the user. And a question, whats the point of having the spotted thread actually? i know SAU has it , but they dont post the person's no plate, even if they do, there are just so many skylines here, too hard to track. Having said that, it is still possible to track a car down. thats y no one posts no plates there. Should we delete the spotted thread section ?

Yeah, a warning system (EG: First warning 2nd warning/final or 3rd warn as the final) would be good. SKAGEE, seeing you're a very respected member of this board, i hope you could forward some of these viable suggestions to TOM and implement a new rule, if i may suggest.

That way at least it'll get the gears moving. Then perhaps sometime in the near future, we could opt for a better forum. Not only to protect the owners and their respective cars (with everything inside it) but to also stir this forum into a more respectable and reliable place for discussion. :)

Cheers
