Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn Bhd (SMA) introduced the fully imported Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L SDLX/SPORT from Japan, to the Malaysian market. The milestone signified Suzuki’s entrance into the D-segment category of the automotive market or the sporty and elegance Sedan segment, expanding its line-up beyond the small cars segment.

<!--more-->The Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L was officially launched by Mr. Shinya Yokokawa, Deputy Managing Director of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile Sdn. Bhd. In his speech, Mr Shinya Yokokawa said, “The Suzuki Kizashi 2.4L will be the new Suzuki’s flagship vehicle in the D-Segment category. The new sporty and elegance sedan will further expand and strengthen the company’s current product line of compact cars and SUVs. ‘Kizashi’ comes from a Japanese word which means “a sign of great things to come”. Undoubtedly a great new stimulant to Malaysia’s D-Segment, it mirrors Suzuki’s forward-looking approach to break into the Sedan market.”

Having made a name for itself as a specialist in compact cars and SUVs, Suzuki expansion into the Sedan market is an indication of Suzuki’s commitment to accommodate great demands in bigger cars and the diverse lifestyles of customers who want to stay with the Suzuki brand when buying larger cars. The J24B engine pumps out 176bhp at 6,500rpm and 230Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. All that will be pulling the Kizashi's kerb weight of 1,490kg (1,530kg SPORT). The Kizashi will also possess a CVT gearbox which will help propell it to a maximum cruising speed of 205kmh with the centruy sprint achieved in 8.8s.

Alluminium alloy rims will come as standard for the Kizashi, where you'd be getting 17" rims on 215/55 tyres on the SDLX and the SPORT variant gets 18" on 235/45 tryes.

How in the world that a modern engine with a cc of 2.4 can only give 131hp???

Is this JDM or India-DM?

i saw it during their roadshow at 1utama....kinda small compared to sonata, camry, accord.....
size more a less to cruze.
Saw it yesterday at Empire Subang bro. The boot is just sooo good looking you don't even need a spoiler. Not so small to become a compact car and not too big to become unsporty also: for me just nice.

Actually I was somewhat waiting for the launch of this car, but the Malaysian market J24B comes with 131hp instead of the 185hp??? What kind of sorcery is this...
