The new Honda Civic Euro will be released soon and will feature a new four-cylinder diesel engine for the UK market. The new engine will be more efficient and greener than the previous generation engines.

The 2.2L i-DTEC produces 148-hp and a reasonable 349 Nm of torques. Thanks to an updated version of Honda’s i-DTEC valvetrain system, these figures are achievable. Further more, the oil lubrication flow has been improved to reduce circulation loss and friction.

with the emission strictly controlled,
The FN2R is the last rev.
now we really looking in a hybrid future..
can imagine 10 or 20 years later what kind of engine we will be getting?

BMW's oil burner trumps this N22.

the 320d puts out somewhere around 180hp and 380Nm of twist, and VERY refined too.

But can't compare the fuel consumption figures though, dont know how much the i-DTEC sips diesel.

We need more diesels here! More torque!

diesels engines are a good way to go now...
but diesel quality is not increasing huhu
