While every other supercar maker is pumping out special editions of their flagship models with some different trim and probably a new exhaust just to crank up the price by a couple of thousands, Nissan has decided that the GT-R should of course follow suit.

Hence, here we have the vague resemblance of a GT-R one-make series with Nissan collaborating with third parties to offer a track-ready GT-R that comes with a few race days and an annual gathering.

Dubbed the Track Club Edition GT-R, it’s a product of the boffins at Nissan, Nismo, Nova Engineering and Nordring Tuning.

Of course it’s a JDM specific exercise so don’t be expecting to get one here and flog it around Sepang. The club will be call The Prestige Club of GT-R and membership might just leave your wallet a little lightheaded.

The car will set you back in the region of US$120,725 with membership to the club itself costing US$23,024. To keep the club running, annual fees are a must and that will leave you US$11,513 poorer. Now all of that will net you a measly two race days annually and an annual gathering that will drip of ‘exclusivity.’

The Track Club Edition GT-R will be bundled with a revised ECU, traction control settings, more race-friendly ABS and VCD settings, two-way adjustable Bilstein dampers that will be held in place by revised upper front links and a lip spoiler to aid in aero. NACA ducting and brake air guides keep the air flow in check.

On the insed, the driver will be held in place by a four-point harness with a six-point retention system in a Bride Gardis III sports seat. For safety, an automatic fire-suppression system is in place with a Nismo data logging kit to keep check of vital stats on the track.

Power is in the region of 493hp with 588Nm of torque. Sitting on all four corners will be the same 20-inch Rays Forged Aluminium wheels from the GT-R SpecM wrapped in Dunlop Direzza Long Life Slicks.

If you have struck the lottery and aren’t quite financially sane, applications are open until 20 September but you have to be in Japan to race it.
