How does it work?
Insert a GSM SIM card which you can subscribe on your own, either prepaid or postpaid. Use your handphone and dial the tel number of this GPS tracker. It will hang up and reply with the SMS of the coordinates of your car (refer to picture). Click on the SMS link and you can view the map on your handphone. It can be used during emergency to inform your friend/spouse/relative in case your car breakdown/stolen and you do not know where you are. Simply forward the GPS SMS to them.
Does it detect door open with siren output?
No, due to its simple design and cheap price, its purpose is to track your car or your loved ones. It does not interfere or replace your existing car alarm and car wiring which may void your car warranty (if any). No siren output means the thief will not know that you have this GPS tracker.
I don't think I need it as I got car insurance and existing car alarm?
