The socket that connects to the inhibitor switch on mine is having connectivity issue, once doing high rev, it starts to not detect switch changes; sometimes I lost D and 2nd, at times I lost 3rd, I even lost N once. I'm looking to replace the socket, according to the workshop just cut the cables and connect to a newer one. Is it advisable in long term? I mean, I dont want any other problems arise after this since I have tons of problems in that area; changed inhibitor switch multiple times due to oil leak, battery leak (parked in workshop for 6 months due to accident) and more. So, that area is pretty vulnerable to damage.

I also am looking at changing the whole set of cabling, how much does it cost?
