Hi wan,

Me currently drove as yours, but mine with 1.6 mivec inside (known as 2nd gen mivec elsewhere). What did you want to know about this car?.

Me currently had a deep though.i.e. might want to sell my car either, may be want to go for turbo or something. But i would prefer CBU NA cars.(since NA is very easy to maintain as compared to Turbo). Besides Vtec or mivec, what else a good NA engine/car available?

Now looking for 2.0 Galant, very hard to find one. Mazda 6 looks very nice but damn unpowerful. Hai ya.!

I wanna ask some info too. Curious to know if aftermarket parts for proton models are suitable for this Lancer MX, especially suspension, strut bars... Info would be appreciated. 10Q 10Q...

Kay,

CBU refers to those vehicle which produced in their origin country.

CKD refers to vehicle that produce locally (in M'sia). CBU car are more 'perfect'. compared to CKD car due to better chasis, quality etc.

About mits parts Vs. proton parts, both share 90% the same parts.(expect for few internal engine parts). The rest should be the same.

Add in me tooo..Im using Lancer MX but no Mivec , no GSR , no V6 ...only 4G15 DOHC...Actually , Im looking for the GSR < terbalik > engine..veryhard to find some more its money matters..heeee... ;)

CBU= COMPLETELY BUILDT UNIT=fully imported (pemasangan luar siap sepenuhnya)

CKD= COMPLETELY KNOCK DOWN= assembled locally(pemasangan tempatan)

I drive one also, a 1.5 auto 1996 model. I think its a Lancer MX Extra or something like that. Converted to E6 already black color.

Now wanted to sell my baby also. No money to pay installment ma. Domestic economy not very good at the moment.

Me coverted the car 3 yrs ago. That time hard to get parts because still new and so lost count how much I spent alltogather.
