Celica V6

Have anyone tried V6-ing their Celica here lately?

There is some interesting info on installing a v6 into a 5th gen fwd celica notch back in the US and another member in the UK who fitted the camry v6 and rav 4 gearbox into his st185 gtfour. The writeups can be found on the celicatech.com forums. He is planning on a twin turbo setup but there are doubts the rav4 box can hold the power and the final drive might be too low for higher powerlevels as well. The standard gtfour transfer case obstructs the v6 so the rav4 box is the only option for now.

from what i've been reading on 6gc.net, guys have used different V6 Toyota engines to fit Celicas; Camry V6 and Sienna MPV V6 not much detail though. for me i always liked the engine rattle of the V6 and I-6. If we are looking for power then go GTE

One swapper uses the 1MZ-FE. Many different engines will fit, I have even considered the 2.4 from the TC since there is strong aftermarket and the engine is very light weight compared to the 3s. I am kind of interested in the new 27xhp v6 they put in the Venza and its 6speed but its only an automatic for now and I am sure it is not cheap.
