Hi all,

I`m using SARD R2D2 Bov. Bought new 2 years ago.
Does anyone know how to service it?

Thanks.

I don't even use one on my SR20DET.. you don't really need a BOV.. unless you do 1.0bar++.. most engines will do just fine without a BOV up to 0.8-0.9bar depending on the engine..

TO begin with, you will need a pair of Snap-Ring pliers to disassemble the piston and spring.

brake cleaner? spray one izzit? to clean disc brake one?

Try not to use solvent based cleaners as some BOV are coated with a kind of lamination on the body to prevent discolouring due to hi-temp ambience in the engine bay, for example HKS SSQV.

How did I find out? I screwed up mine when I used petrol to wash my SSQV.

My SSQV has turned yellowish bronze since then (which in a way looks cool, gives a Titanium look to it :D).
