BLACK GEN-2 standard now?

monday night when i was passing by the proton show room near taman tun, i saw one gen 2 park for display which is BLACK in colour...

i know there are black gen-2s on the road but i always thought those are custom painted ones not the original factory production.

the GEN 2 catalogue only lists five colours-orange,blue,grey,purple,brown...why suddenly got black colour? special edition?

hope any of you who have any idea please shed some light here....VERY HANDSOME LOOKING WErrrrrr the black GEN2..

last time i went to proton show room with my friend...
the salesman said the black gen-2 is come from full spec...
thats mean with abs, airbag those kinda thing lar, if i'm not wrong...
the price is around 63k++ , if not wrong...

The Black Gen2 you saw is the 1.6 HighLine. Comes in Auto only has leather seats, steering : ABS: Airbags. And can be purchased at any Edar outlet.

The colour of the new black Gen 2 is called Lennox black.They say it takes 0.04 secs for it to deploy the dual air-bags in case of an accident.Other upgrades include ABS distibuted braking system, a leather interior plus the all new rear wing and costs Rm57,674 on the road excluding insurance

That should be the price for auto if im not mistaken.Manual should be slightly cheaper.The Rm57,764 pricing is for the latest model.So some things have changed.

GEN2 Highline A/T=Rm63,495.00
GEN2 Highline M/T=Rm59,391.00

GEN2 Standard A/T=Rm58,114.50
GEN2 Standard M/T=Rm55,036.50

I drive a Waja myself.My friend owns a Gen2.Although i too think that the Gen2 is sexier than the Waja (which look like a tissue box) I can't help but stick to the Waja.
Here are my pros and cons of the Gen 2
Pros-

Like the design,refreshing and modern.Still can help but feel design was copied from Ford Tx3 Laser.Enough legroom despite shortened cabin.Funky new colours

Cons-

Few things that piss me off about a Gen2 is the hollow doors.When you close the door, there is a sound that sounds like the opening of a milo tin.

Lock button are very hard to access,placed at very inconvenient positions(rear seats) and ver hard to open(if you have wet fingers dont even bother).Engine is noisy when it touches 5000 to 6000 rpm.Drinks more petrol than my waja because it is Double over head cam (Waja SOHC)

Overall review affordable and accomodating

the standard line GEN2 can i get the black colour model? since the highline go up to 63k.....not the expected 57k..

The problems i experienced in 3 of my frens Gen2s and i think the Lennox Black is available at 57k.Hope that helps.I was supposed to buy Gen2 osso but changed to Kelisa instead to save my mommys money lol.Maybe next time i will
