compare to the other countries, specs and performance, and everything....do you think it's worth it to buy a wira for around 44k?

very few countries outside malaysia have wiras. and emm... even if there are wiras there, they are used as mule cars or cheap transport. but in malaysia, if you lookin for cheap transport, go for the 20k wiras. hahaha. stock wira, performance? emmm..................................................................... hehe

yeah...other countries, like USA, they sell new civics for around 10000 usd, if not mistaken from my uncle, after converting its oni around 40000 ringgit... we can oni get an iswara...

civic has better performance and specs....y does it have to be cheaper than a wira?

at least more stuff in the cars lor..like airbags, abs & etc... <_<

GTS skyline used for 30k miles will cost ya 11000gbp in the uk. 77000rm.
GTS skyline reconditioned 50k km will cost 2.1mil rupees in Colombo. 84000rm.
Evo 6 TM edition (jap mod.) reconditioned 20k km is 3.1mil rupees. 124000rm.
Satria Sport 1.6 reconditioned 50k km is 7000gbp in uk. 49000rm

There is a range really... but emm... still quite new to malaysian market, but as far as i know, i think 44k for a wira is on the high side? if it's a vr4 wira that is in mint condition, ok... but emm.. correct me if i'm wrong, but i see wiras that are emm.. drivable for 20k. maybe try find another wira and compare price:quality ratio. hahahaha. pls correct me if i'm wrong.

Look at the poll results man! hahaha Only 1 vote for "NO" answer.
I'd pay only RM15,000 for a Perdana V6, the old version. Wira 1.5, only RM9,000. Kancil, only RM6000. If ya think about it, it's better to drive a not-so-expensive cars considering the way bikers are riding, the way big vehicles (lorries, buses, etc) are driving, the condition of the roads, damn tail gaters following so close even on rainy days, inconsiderate drivers who drive as if the road is empty, etc. That's what I think. Good thing I drive a crap car. hahaha

i wonder who's the one who voted no...
anyway, 15000 for a perdana, that's too much...lol
maybe 30000 would be reasonable. Yet the gov is like so poor in manufacturing the other states besides for selangor, jb, penang and not to forget KL.

-fRëɧt¥£3R-,
I know Aust cars are cheap. I've a friend who stays there so if we're speaking dollar to dollar, then yea, it's just a dim sum away from driving a skyline. :) Does Australia have West Coast Customs there? hehehe

maybe not when compared to vietnam, if i remember correctly, my teacher said that the tax there is insane

think of how much insurance costs overseas :)

..... i paid RM7000 for 1 year insurance on a 10 year old 1.5 litre car in uk!!!!

yah, agree, Insurance is the killing part, same as US.

My friend at US able to buy a Civic at the price 3K, but no money to pay the insurance, :P . car kena tol back. And the agency there charge the his car "parking fee" to keep his car in their garage at daily basis. My friend end up didn't even claim his car back.

that's why my original dream when i grow up is to earn the dollar bill.
now it's the euro and pound.

my cousin works for a british/international company and have euros in his paycheck...lucky bastard <_<

so a question to ask, do you guys prefer high fixed cost(car price) lower variable cost(,parking, petrol, etc) or,

low fixed cost but high variable cost??

for me, i prefer low fixed cost but high variable cost because its fair that if we use the car more then we pay more.It will also allow more people to afford for better cars.

For example, i pay rm50k for an evo 6 but if i drive out i need to pay rm6.50/litre in petrol and rm10/hr for parking. i can choose to drive only weekend but i still able to afford an evo6 and enjoy the fun of driving it occasionally.

but if the evo 6 cost me rm140k then i wont be able to own one even the petrol is only rm1.5/litre..parking is rm2/hr....
