Every year, there's a cross country run across the U.S. called the Goldrush Rally. If you ever watched the movie Cannonball Run, it's similar in ways but without the all-out high speed lawlessness from start to finish. Sure, speed limits are broken, but this is more of a recreational event.
With many stops for food, parties and racing, we had the chance to meet up with the Goldrush Rally participants at a dragstrip outside of Chicago. Never in my life have I seen such high end luxury performance cars and we brought our customer and his new Alpha Ronin GT-R to see how it stacked up against some of the more expensive supercars. The last run of the day being a $2.35 million Bugatti Veyron Gran Vitesse!
This was obviously a GT-R with our aftermarket performance package vs a stock Veyron, but something our fans wanted to see with the Veyron being a great benchmark to compare times against. Still star struck by the Veyron seeing it in person for the first time and still awe struck by the multimillion dollar price tag! Watch the video to see the outcome!
