If you have seen Ken Block’s latest gymkhana video, it is hard to miss the quick glimpse of his upcoming Hoonigan ride which kind of looks like a Ford Focus RX on steroids. That particular machine is actually called the Focus RS RX and since the car was spanking clean in the video, we had a hunch it would not stay long as such.

Needless to say, our hunch was spot on as Block, Hoonigan and street art artist Felipe Pantone had collaborated in giving not one, but two Focus RS RXs their own distinct liveries to differentiate between Block’s #43 car and Bakkerud’s #13. “I’m really stoked that I was able to partner with Felipe Pantone on this”, said Block.

And mind you, these cars are not going to be static art pieces as they will be competing in this year’s FIA Rallycross Championship with Round 1 scheduled to take place in Montenegro, Portugal. Both cars are powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost modified by Ford Performance and M-Sport and utilizing engine management from Cosworth.

With 600-horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque in their disposal, the engine is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission made by Sadev, allowing it to sprint from zerotohundred in less than two seconds. Stopping this wild machine will be handled by Brembo four pots and 350mm rotors, and the hydraulic handbrake will certainly come in handy in the competition.
