2015 TIMETOATTACK FINAL ROUND – GTR & Supercars + Results!

DSC_3077

At TIMETOATTACK, the types of cars you will find in the entry list are not limited to JDMs or heavily modded Continentals. Over the years we have seen a number of supercar owners who are not afraid of taking their million-Ringgit rides and discover their limits at the 5.543km Sepang Circuit. If you wish to see a supercar screaming its lungs out on the main straight or screeching their tires at the corners, TIMETOATTACK is the right place to go.

Receiving quite a number of entries for the Final Round, we kick off the Supercars category with this yellow Ferrari F430. Being the predecessor to the Ferrari 458, Jordan Goh managed to tame this Italian horse to clock a 2:53.785.

Sporting a matte green outlook, Nashriq Kushaini brought down the Audi R8 V10 for his attack and clocked a best time of 2:48.945 for the day.

The only Porsche entrant was brought in by Nazir Hussin Akhtar and his weapon of choice is the 991 Carrera S. He managed to clock a best time of 2:41.051.

McLaren has expanded their line up a long way since the MP4-12C was launched years ago, but that does not mean the 12C is obsolete as Mac Chung Jin clocked a 2:36.675 in this twin-turbo Brit.

Looking not only pretty standing still, the Ferrari 458 Italia is really fast on the circuit as demonstrated by Dato’ Mubarak Hussain Akhtar as he clocked a 2:34.293 around the circuit.

Coming in third place in the Supercars category is Mick Tan in the MP4-12C Spider with an incredible timing of 2:32.921.

Though it may be the less powerful version in the R8 line up, Cornelius Ee managed to overcome the odds by steering this R8 V8 to a second place finish with a 2:32.739.

But going home with the win for the Supercar class is this sleek 458 Italia fitted with what seems to be a Challenge Evo bumper. Clearly made for speed, Kenneth Tee totally deserves the win with the amazing timing of 2:27.337.

Although there is no denying that these supercars are mightily fast, we just have to give a hand to the Japanese for making a brilliant supercar killer. The R35 GTR has been setting new records all over the world and the time has come for them to make a mark at TIMETOATTACK.

Hailing from the GTR Club JB, Kamal Husin Akhtar managed to clock a 2:34.719 in his chrome black GTR and he was in sixth place with such timing!

Zahari’s GTR might look deceivingly stock from the outside, but the 2:33.831 timing set by him made us think otherwise.

Sporting some aero upgrades, Ong Seng Chieh managed to clock a 2:31.010 to put him fourth in the GTR category.

Wrapped in a unique blue + white + black camouflage wrap, Eric Yong and Billy Ow made their presence felt with the 2:25.507 timing that comfortably puts them in third place.

While Raymond Lee’s 2:23.613 timing was very fast indeed…

…it was the combination of Nobuteru Taniguchi and Ken Ji that stole the attention for the day. On a quick glance, Ken Ji’s black GTR might fool some on thinking it is completely stock. But that massive wing on its back and HKS’ GT1000 kit installed, this Godzilla took not only the GTR class win but also managed to be the fastest road legal car at TIMETOATTACK with an impressive timing of 2:17.529!
