When a manufacturer tries to keep the covers on their highly-anticipated car until the actual debut date, it is often that the net fails them by having it going viral. And the latest to fall victim is none other than the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI, with Mexican website Autos Terra revealing this new Japanese machine in its most desirable look, donning the iconic World Rally Blue paint.
Looking pretty much similar to the 2015 WRX which it is based on, the new STI of course has its own charm to pop out from the crowd. The most obvious will definitely be the large rear wing and the aggressive body kit. To finish of the outlook, the gold-coloured wheels that act as STI’s signature are a must-have.
As for the time being, these are the only details that we could get. No further information on the performance, but some speculate that the peak output should match the outgoing WRX STI of around 305-horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque. The power plant is most likely to be an upgraded version of the regular WRX’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but a larger 2.5-liter is also a possibility. A six-speed manual is the most possible option for the gearbox.
