The M838T engine was designed and developed by the collaboration of McLaren and engine builder Ricardo. The engine continues to impress as significant changes has been made to produce 650PS and 678Nm of torque for the McLaren 650S Coupe and Spider. With such power, zerotohundred takes only 3.0 seconds without compromising the fuel efficiency or emissions. The engine still returns 11.7 l/100km and produces only 275g of CO2 per kilometre.
