Once again Porsche had revealed their new 2016 911 Carrera which looks not really that far off from the previous model. However, the changes made to the 2016 model were not focused entirely on its outlooks, but it is what powering the car that has seen the biggest change.

Power is now provided by a new 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine which is now force fed by two turbochargers. It now produces 370PS and 450Nm of torque in the Carrera model, while the Carrera S gets 420PS and 500Nm of torque. When paired with the PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono Package, the 911 Carrera sprints from zerotohundred in 4.2 seconds and a faster 3.9 seconds for the Carrera S before hitting a top speed of 308 km/h.

Despite its improved performance, Porsche has managed to make these models more efficient than their predecessors by 12-percent. The 911 Carrera S with the PDK now sips only 7.7L/100km, giving it an improvement of 1.0L/100km. Coming in as standard in the Carrera includes the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) chassis, new shock absorbers while an active rear-axle steering system is offered in the optional list.

Some new touches can still be found on the outside if you look close enough, like the four-point daytime running lights, restyled wheels, new door handles, and a new engine cover with vertical louvres. The taillights have also been revised with four-point brake lights.
