Video: E39 BMW M5 Pick-Up

bmwm5The owner of the M5 pick-up put up this video of his controversial beemer on youtube. Turn up your speakers because to me, the V8 from this E39 M5 doesn’t quite sound as throaty and thunderous as how V8’s usually do. It actually sounds rather shrieky and piercing, grass-cutter like dare I say. Could be the lack of a rear passenger compartment, but whatever the case I really expected this to sound monstrous but its not.

yeah. the sounds doesn't quite the same ol V8s. I assume the mufflers were E60's M5? or all M5s mufflers are all like that.?

i think they take out d fibre out of d muffler or sort of, sounds like the muffler is empty. well, its good to have a different sound of v8. well executed on d bodywork.

I think its quite brappy. About high pitched sound that Keshy said, well i think its inheritant sound from aftermarket exhaust. I have heard 360 Modena with aftermarket exhaust and it sounds just like that when revved. The picthy sound is called wail by some people. But its a matter of taste la. Some like the boomy sound ones, some like F1 inspired sound.
