Of course, Mini has retained the signature Clubman’s split rear doors as well as the accessibility and everyday usability four full-sized side doors and five fully-fledged seats. Both the Clubman variants benefit from the Mini TwinPower Turbo, but each of them gets a different engine. In the Mini Cooper Clubman lies a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine that packs 136-horsepower and 220Nm of torque. Zerotohundred is dealt with in 9.1 seconds and it has a top speed of 205km/h. The Mini Cooper Clubman has an average fuel consumption of 5.4 litres per 100km.

But if it is power you are looking for, the Mini Cooper S Clubman is the obvious choice as the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 192-horsepower and 280Nm of torque. Zerotohundred takes only 7.1 seconds for the S and it comes with a higher top speed of 228km/h. Average fuel consumption is rated at 5.9 litres per 100km.

For a sportier feel, the four-cylinder engine in the S is paired to an eight-speed Steptronic Transmission that ensures an even more favourable basis for efficient and comfortable driving through a broader gear spread and smaller engine speed steps. Shorter shift times can also be done by operating the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

The Mini Clubman comes with a sophisticated suspension technology for the premium compact segment where it has the combination of a single joint strut axle at the front with a multilink rear axle. Safety is also a concern for the Clubman, and it comes with an array of features like the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and Brake Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Fading Brake Support and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC).

Space is something that the Clubman comes plenty with. The rear compartment offers a volume of 360 litres but if the 40:20:40 rear seats are folded down, the volume is drastically increased to 1,250 litres.
