Sitting between the recently-launched XE and the top-of-the-range XJ, Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (JLRM) today had taken the covers off the all-new Jaguar XF. Using Jaguar’s lightweight aluminium-intensive architecture, the XF’s coupe-like design incorporates outstanding proportions, elegant surfaces and perfect lines to make it stand out like other Jaguar cars.

The Malaysian market will get two variants of the XF – the Prestige and the R-Sport. Both are powered by the same 2.0-liter i4 turbocharged petrol engine pushing out a maximum output of 240PS and 340Nm of torque, paired up to an eight-speed electronic automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift.
But what differentiates these two variants are its features, where the Prestige comes with 17-inch Lightweight 15-spoke wheels, perforated leather seats, metal tread plates with Jaguar script and multi-function soft-grain leather steering wheel.
The R-Sport on the other hand is fitted with a sport suspension, 18-inch Helix 10-spoke wheels, R-Sport bodykit, R-Sport branded multi-function soft-grain leather steering wheel and R-Sport branded metal tread plates.
As a premium business sedan, the Jaguar XF is fitted with various technologically advanced features such as the JaguarDrive Control, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Torque Vectoring and All Surface Progress Control (ASPC). The Aluminium-intensive architecture is not a gimmick either as it enables Jaguar to shave up to 190kg compared to its predecessor as well as increasing torsional stiffness up to 28-percent.
The aluminium double wishbone design for the front suspension is modelled closely on the F-Type’s with handling and steering response in mind. The all-new XF will be a joy to drive as it is combined with Integral Link rear suspension and has a near 50:50 weight distribution.
The all-new Jaguar XF is fully imported and is priced at RM 450,000 for the XF Prestige and RM 460,000 for the XF R-Sport (prices include GST but exclude registration, road tax and insurance). Every XF also comes with Jaguar Care, an exclusive programme that comprises a five-year warranty, five-year servicing and three-year roadside assistance.
