Since the new Huayra variant was caught in the wild recently undisguised, we figured it would not be long before Pagani actually announces this hardcore model officially. Sure enough, Pagani finally decided to introduce the new Huayra BC to the world and at the same time shares the specs of this highly anticipated V12 monster.

Despite the numerous rumours saying that it will gain an extra 100-horsepower, the new Huayra BC only gets an extra 60-horsepower more from the normal Huayra. Then again, 789-horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque is a great deal of power that matches most supercars of today, thanks to the twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to a new seven-speed automated manual transmission from Xtrac.

Featured on this new gearbox is a revised electro-hydraulic actuation and carbon fiber synchronisers. Not only is it 40-percent lighter, shift times have also been slashed down from 150 milliseconds to 75 milliseconds. All of the power is still sent to punish the rear wheels.

Power is not the only area that Pagani focuses in developing the BC as they also tried to reduce the weight of this V12 machine. A typical Huayra will tip the scales at 1,350kg, but it is a different case for the BC where Pagani managed to shave off 132kg through weight saving measures which includes a new titanium exhaust system that only weighs 2.9kg.

The move does not stop there as the new Brembo brakes fitted are six percent lighter than the previous version, and another 9kgs have been shaved with the use of bespoke forged wheels. Pagani has also developed a new composite material specifically for the Huayra BC that is said to be 50-percent lighter and 20-percent stronger than carbon fiber.

The Huayra BC features a number of new aerodynamic components which includes the extended front splitter, front canards, side skirts, menacing rear diffuser, and of course the huge rear wing. Pagani has not released any downforce figures but it should not be a surprise that the BC sticks better on the ground.

If you are interested in one, there are two issues that you would have to consider: one is that each comes with a price tag of USD 2.5 million (RM 10.54 million), and the other is that Pagani will only be making 20 of such and all of them have been sold out.
