Making its debut back in 2013, the Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been one of the top-selling models from the Mercedes-Benz catalogue. And today the German car maker is ready to surprise the Malaysian fans once again as they take the covers off their new line-up of facelifted A-Class comprising of the new A180 Urban Line, A200 AMG Line, A250 Sport, and the A45 AMG 4MATIC.
“The new A-Class is set to redefine the premium compact car market and cement the pole position as the leading premium brand,” said Mark Raine, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia. “With newly-introduced innovations and added features, the A-Class will now meet and exceed the wishes and expectations of our many loyal fans as well as our new customers,” he added.
Already looking sporty since its 2013 debut, the new A-Class now receives a more arrow shaped front bumper, inspired from the Concept A-Class in 2011. It also gets new LED high performance headlamps…
…and newly designed tail lamps with dual tailpipe trim integrated flush into the bumper.
On the inside, the instrument cluster gets a tubular design with classy dial graphics and anodised switches, a large, free-standing and frameless display infotainment system now available in a larger 8-inch display, new colours and materials, as well as new finishes in the dashboard.
To ensure the driver gets the best out of their vehicles, Mercedes-Benz had installed the Dynamic Select button to adjust the vehicle characteristics at the touch of a button. The system modifies the engine, transmission, steering and air conditioning and comes with four driving modes of “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Eco”, and “Individual”.
The A-Class also comes with a drowsiness detection system called the Attention Assist where it is able to give its driver comprehensive support and protection within an extended speed range (60-200km/h). Other features include the Collision Prevention Assist Plus which extends the functions of the previous Collision Prevention Assist.
