Back in the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, Toyota had unveiled a very unique version of the 86 called the 86xStyle Cb Concept that basically looks like a classier version of the current 86. Surprisingly though, Toyota had somehow decided to bring this interesting concept to the production lines but limited only for the Japanese market.
Renamed as the Toyota 86 style Cb, this unique 86 has a restyled front end and a tamer frontal look due to its rounder headlights and grille which is probably a move to attract women buyers. The rear end however is left mostly untouched.
The interior also gets a couple of new touches where the centre console and dashboard is given a wood grain finish, while the steering is wrapped in leather and given the Cb emblem. The instrument cluster is given a white background and white needles to fit with the whole theme.
However, what resides under the hood remains the same as it still gets the 2.0-liter boxer engine pushing out 200-horsepower. It is offered with either the standard six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic.
The Toyota 86 style Cb is offered in five colours, including two-tone schemes. Orders for the car will be open from April 23 with prices starting at 4,180,582 Yen (RM 125,836).
