The Porsche 918 Spyder joins the Dubai police fleet!

5

Compared to the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Porsche 918 Spyder may sound like the least exciting one in the Holy Trinity. At 887-horsepower, it is the least powerful, the heaviest at 1,633kg, and also the least exclusive with 918 units produced. However, the bigger number means that we could see more 918s on the roads, and one of them had the privilege of joining the exotic Dubai police fleet.

Dubai’s police cars are nothing like you will ever see in the world as they host a great number of exotic supercars that will make your jaw drop. From the ‘common’ cars like the Bentley Continental GT and the Nissan GTR, they also have the Bugatti Veyron and Aston Martin One-77 in their inventory.

So with the large number on 918s being made, maybe it is just a matter of time before one joins the fleet. And it is not the only hybrid in the fleet as well as aside from the 918, the Dubai police also operates the BMW i8.

Before you start imagining a high-speed chase involving these million-Ringgit rides, maybe we should clarify that none of these cars will actually be used for real police works. Most of them will only be used in the most luxurious areas of Dubai to impress tourists. The same goes to the ‘rivalling’ Abu Dhabi police fleet where they recently acquired the Lykan HyperSport in their garage.
