Remember the leaked Honda S660 we reported a while back? It seems that the Japanese can now enjoy the little three-cylinder roadster as it officially goes on sale in Japan. But if you are hoping to find one on our shores, we may advice for you to hold that thought as for the time being in is only available in the Japanese domestic market.
The S660 gets the aforementioned three-cylinder engine and with the help of a turbocharger, pushes a mild 66-horsepower. With its low and wide characteristics, the S660 also gets a near perfect 45-55 front-rear weight distribution. It comes with either a paddle shift-equipped CVT and a six-speed manual transmission.
Honda will also be making a number of ‘S660 Concept Editions’ which will get a couple of mild upgrades like a red roll top, leather touch points and red stitching.
Mugen however offers a more tantalizing line of upgrades which includes uprated suspension, larger brakes, a front lip spoiler, and a rear diffuser. But that is not all as they will also throw in a carbon fiber rear wing, vented hood, aggressive fenders and 15 or 16-inch wheels to complete the look.
